Patch 1.03 has been released for Final Fantasy XVI, bringing a highly anticipated solution

At long last, players can now customize the motion blur in Square Enix's action game. The latest update, 1.03, was announced on the official Final Fantasy XVI Twitter account this morning. This highly anticipated feature has been frequently requested by PlayStation 5 players, as the previous inability to adjust or remove the motion blur caused discomfort and even motion sickness for some. Thankfully, those days are now over, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in Clive Rosfield's story without any physical discomfort.

The latest update for Final Fantasy XVI, Patch 1.03, includes the following changes:

  1. The System tab in the Main Menu now includes new options, such as Motion Blur Strength. This allows players to adjust the intensity of the motion blur effect while the character or camera is in motion. By default, the maximum setting is 5, but players can decrease it to reduce the blur or set it to 0 to disable it altogether.
  2. Two new options, Player Follow (Movement) and Player Follow (Attack), have been added. By turning these settings off, the camera will no longer automatically follow the player when they are moving or attacking.
  3. The maximum sensitivity settings for the camera have been increased from 10 to 20 for both horizontal and vertical movements.
  4. Three new controller layouts, labeled as type D, E, and F, have been added for players to choose from.
  5. Various stability issues with certain menus have been addressed and fixed.
  6. Several text issues have been corrected.
  7. When sharing screenshots or video clips on Twitter or YouTube, players can now use the hashtag #FF16.
